I smile as to act like everything is ok
But why do I feel so sad inside
I try to act like all is good enough
As if I forgot the past
And can move on
Yet I can’t move forward
I can’t face the past
A friendship lost by betrayal
We live two separate lives
And now I can’t even understand
How our paths crossed
Or how this friendship started
I don’t get how this bond got so strong
Or why I care that you’re not in my life
Can one really forgive and forget?
Can we ever have again what we once had?
